Together these practices help develop relaxed awareness, clarity and compassion. This course will introduce the essential principles of Buddhist meditation and provide you with the tools needed to work effectively within your meditation practice.
As well as teaching you to meditate, each week we will introduce you to some basic principles that will help you understand what Buddhism is about.
Topics covered will include: The life of the Buddha, enlightenment, Buddhist ethics, the symbolism of the wheel of life, reflections that turn the mind from reactive to creative and more...
There will be time to discuss your experience with others and to attend to any questions you might have along the way.
