If you've been coming along to the centre for a while - perhaps to our under 35s night, our Monday introductory evenings, our drop-in meditations and so on - this non-residential retreat is aimed at you.
The overall idea is to help you get more clear about our two foundation practices (the mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana), so you can meditate more effectively.
We'll start with a deeper approach to posture - a dynamic approach to alignment in the body during meditation will help you stay more focused and reduce tension. From there, we definitely have ideas...and we also want to let any questions, challenges and areas you'd like to explore inform what we do together.
This weekend will give you a taste of extended meditation practice. And we're likely to introduce you to a traditional Buddha visualisation practice, which is particularly appropriate as this weekend coincides with the annual Buddha Day festival. In fact, we'd recommend you also come along to our Friday night puja for Buddha Day on the 27th at 6.30pm (join us for dhal and rice from 5.30pm), if you like.
$80, or what you are able to afford
Before attending, please read our current Covid Guidelines. This is part of how we practice together.
