We have a wonderful celebration on August 26 for Dharma Monday. It is the birthday of Sangharakshita, the founder of our movement, and we will also be celebrating the Going Forth of three of our mitras. Maree Beverland (our Centre manager), Judy Gray and Helen Clack are off to their ordination retreat in September/October in Golden Bay on the north coast of the South Island.
Malini and Purna, two of NZs most senior Order members will lead the first half of the evening in the shrine room, including talking a little about Sangharakshita and the significance of ordination, then we’ll move into the reception room for the second half including tea and cake and a great rejoicing of these lovely women. All are welcome to come and join us, new and old, for this great evening of sangha meeting together.
