Aspects of faith

A non-residential weekend at the centre

Nagarjuna, a great Buddhist monk and scholar, renowned for his ability to debate the Dharma and for his thought and writings on the teaching of emptiness, said faith is more important than wisdom.

Indeed, teachings on the essential nature of faith can be found through early and later Buddhist texts.

Why? And what did they mean by faith? Certainly no-one was talking about blind trust. But nor were they talking solely about confidence based on intellectual reasoning alone.

On this non-residential weekend at the centre we'll explore three aspects of faith in Buddhism, with opportunities to reflect on each of these in our own experience.

We find these non-residential weekends to be a really helpful way for people to explore a Dharma theme more deeply together over a weekend, while still having time for 'life admin'.

We come together Friday night, Saturday morning and Sunday morning. We ask participants to commit to attending all three sessions.
