The Honeyball Sutta is an immediate, practical and profound teaching, but its language is a tad obscure. It's a pithy analysis of the way we add layers of interpretation, assumption and bias to our raw experience which – surprise surprise doesn't always tally other people's! And so we quarrel, fall out, even go to war. It's a sutta where the Dharma meets psychology, neuroscience and society. I’m hoping we can unpack its words, do some meditation around it, some group work, and bring it all to life.
This weekend is best suited for those who are familiar with our meditation practices.
