We are experimenting with something slightly different on Sangha Night for a while. We hope it will encourage a deeper connection with each other, and give you practical insights into how to bring mindful awareness into your life in a deeply integrated way. Because it's one thing to hear an inspiring talk, and another to figure out how we actually enrich our lives in a meaningful and joyful way through Buddhist practice.
Tonight we're going to put awareness of self and other at the forefront. We'll start with some simple experiential practices to help us become more aware of ourselves and others in the midst of communication. Then we'll take that spirit of engaged awareness into a shared exploration of a few short paragraphs from Sangharakshita's brilliant book 'Living with Awareness' (you don't need a copy of the book).
There'll be time to meditate together and grab a cup of tea as well.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community, deepen their knowledge of Buddhism, and their understanding of how to practice it.
