The cause of suffering
The cause of suffering (dukkha) is not what you might think, and it turns out to be something more to do with us, than whatever external factor we blame.

This evening, Sujiva talks to us about the Buddha's radical discovery of the cause of suffering, how it fits into Buddhist thought, and how, when we take it fully on-board, it can help us manage, reduce and even eliminate suffering.

This talk is a part of a six week series on the Buddha's Four Noble Truths, as we explore each Truth in turn, and look to develop a felt sense of their reality, helping us move in the direction of more contentment.

Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community as well as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Buddha's teaching, and their understanding of how to practice it. Now back in person at the Centre, they generally include a talk and discussion, followed by a cup of tea and then a meditation in the shrine room.
