Tonight we are looking at the "Emotion" aspect of the path of Vision and Transformation, otherwise and more traditionally known as the Noble Eightfold path, an early and fundamental teaching of the Buddha. Emotion here includes will, and represents the harmonization of the whole emotional and volitional side of our being, in conjunction with the Vision we have of it.
Perfect Emotion is the first stage of the Path of Transformation (after Vision), and in a sense mediates between Vision and the remainder of the Path. We cannot follow the Path until we have transformed our whole emotional nature in a sense. We cannot have a spiritual life until our heart is involved, and our emotions are engaged.
Come along and hear more discussion on how we connect with this aspect of ourselves, in order to progress along the path of Vision and Transformation.
Please note an experimental rearrangement of Sangha night structure - we will be meditating first at 7pm for about half an hour. If you arrive late, don't worry, please just slip in as quietly as you can. We will probably be in the warmth of the room at the top of the stairs.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community, deepen their knowledge of Buddhism, and their understanding of how to practice it.
By donation (suggested $15). (Cash or EFTPOS)
Nothing to spare tonight? Come along anyway. You’re always welcome.
Before attending, please read our current Covid Guidelines. This is part of how we practice together.
