Sangha night

Vision and transformation

Community pictures

Tonight we are looking at the "vision" aspect of the path of Vision and Transformation, otherwise and more traditionally known as the Noble Eightfold path, an early and fundamental teaching of the Buddha. Vision corresponds to the very first "step" on the path, and at its ultimate (i.e. Perfect Vision) refers to seeing things as they really are.

This evening, Maitrikashin shares his reflections on this aspect of the Noble Eightfold Path. One question you may have is how do we know where we are going if we haven't been there before? Or in other words, in what sense does the Perfect Vision step help us in knowing how to transform ourselves, and even what we are going to transform into?

Come along tonight and hear Maitrikashin's exposition of this fascinating topic.

Please note an experimental rearrangement of Sangha night structure - we will be meditating first at 7pm for about half an hour. If you arrive late, don't worry, please just slip in as quietly as you can. We will probably be in the warmth of the room at the top of the stairs.

Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community, deepen their knowledge of Buddhism, and their understanding of how to practice it.
