Buddhist practices and teachings address the whole human – our body, emotions, speech and mind. Ritual and devotion are an important part of the spectrum of ways we can become more engaged with our practice of ethics, meditation and insight. Ritual and devotion allow us to become more open, receptive and responsive to more playful and loving ways to be.
But what do the words “ritual” and “devotion” really mean? Are they still relevant to busy, sophisticated – even cynical – 21st century citizens?
Come and join us as we explore ritual and devotion through discussion and practice in a mix of practical, interactive and reflective activities, including some of the oldest and most beautiful devotional activities in Buddhism.
We will meet on Friday night from 7-9pm and then again on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-1pm.
