Living lightly with Arthavadin

Supported by Dhiraprabha & Akasamati

Arthavadin

After a long absence (thanks Covid!) Arthavadin - the president of Sudarshanaloka, Lotus Realm and Thames Buddhist Centre - is back with us from the UK. He’s just led a delightfully simple yet deep weekend on the art of stopping in the spiritual life at the ABC. And now we have a range of ways to meet up, practice and hang out together at Sudarshanaloka the week of 21-26 November.

Tuesday the 22nd - Thursday the 24th of November are open days providing an opportunity to explore how to live the Dharma in the midst of our mundane and often busy lives. We’ll practice together and respond to what’s alive on the day.

We ask you to arrive between 5 and 6pm the night before, settle in over dinner and be ready to dive in after a night's rest.

You can come to just one day or as many as you like (we're taking bookings separately for each day).

If you’re a keen walker, come prepared with footwear, rain gear, backpack, a lunch box, drink bottle, chocolate for Arthavadin (ha!) etc in case the walking mood strikes us collectively on the day. (If you’re not up for walking, fear not, we’ll run with a programme that suits those of us there on any given day – the exception being Friday which is a planned hike.)
