Intro to meditation and Buddhism

Mind reactive, mind creative

Vairocana Buddha turning the wheel of the Dharma

TONIGHT: Mind reactive, mind creative
How do we release our grip on what holds us back and open up to what propels us towards our aspiration or vision for how we could be? We sometimes talk about this in terms of moving from the reactive mind to the creative mind. And it's what we'll be exploring this week on our intro course. This will be supported by instruction in the mindfulness of breathing meditation.

This class is the place for newcomers to the Auckland Buddhist Centre to learn meditation and the basics of Buddhism.

This class happens every Monday night at 7pm. It's a rolling 11-week introductory programme. You can join on any Monday night. Classes are designed as much as possible to stand alone for this purpose. But committing to all 11 nights over time will give you the thorough foundation you need to establish your own meditation practice, and step confidently into other classes and retreats.
