Intro to meditation and Buddhism

Can your beliefs hold you back?

Vairocana Buddha turning the wheel of the Dharma

Is this class still going ahead in a red traffic light? Yes, it is!

This class is the place for newcomers to the Auckland Buddhist Centre to learn meditation and the basics of Buddhism.

This class happens every Monday night at 7pm. Info about what happens at each Covid traffic light is here.

TONIGHT: Can your beliefs hold you back?
We'll examine some of the Buddhist wisdom teachings that point to the truth of how things really are, and how we can free ourselves from stress and suffering. Tonight's meditation practice will be the art of "just sitting".

These sessions are part of a rolling 10-week introductory programme. You can join on any night. Classes are designed as much as possible to stand alone for this purpose. But committing to all 10 nights over time will give you the thorough foundation you need to establish your own meditation practice, and step confidently into other classes and retreats.
