This retreat with Kamalashila is a fundraiser for Sudarshanaloka Retreat Centre
Kamalashila is a very highly regarded teacher and writer in our tradition with over forty years experience in teaching meditation, writing and leading Dharma study and retreats. He had planned to be with us in person this year but due to the way things are he will now be leading two retreats online with a programme to specifically suit time zones in our region. Find out more about Kamalashila here.
Anapanasati is a complete practice spanning all of the elements of Sangharakshita’s ’System’ of meditation, from integration, settling and stilling the mind right through to contemplation of the three Laksanas and releasing from clinging to what can never actually satisfy. On this retreat Kamalashila will introduce this in detail and in broad brush-strokes too. He will lead us daily in two practice sessions from different angles (and there’ll be two sessions led locally), so we get to know each element well in our experience. The main emphases will be grounding in the body, walking practice to aid this, and connection with the collective Zoom space itself, to connect to our everyday lives. Material will be recorded and made available so registrants won’t miss anything.
