Dharma Night

Come and join us on Monday nights for a Dharma talk followed by a meditation sit

Shakyamuni Buddha

Dharma night is suitable for those who are familiar with our meditation practices and would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for Sangha to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes you are still welcome to come and join in.

Current Theme: Sangharakshita's Five Stages of the System of Dharma Life

This series will explore a practical path to Enlightenment using the Triranta Buddhist community's five stages of Dharma life: integration, positive emotion, spiritual death, rebirth and spiritual receptivity. Each of these stages will be presented by a different Order member, leaving us with a richer and clearer understanding of the Buddha's path to Awakening. And hopefully giving us some reflections on how we can introduce such practices into our day-to-day lives.

Tonight's talk: The Freedom of letting go

Buddhism is about transformation and that involves letting go at ever deeper levels. This talk explores how 'Spiritual Death' is a vital part of this journey of transformation and how it can open us up to greater possibilities. With Sujiva.
