Dharma Mondays

Come and join us on Monday nights for a Dharma talk followed by a meditation sit

Shakyamuni Buddha

Dharma night is suitable for those who are familiar with our meditation practices and would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for Sangha to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes you are still welcome to come and join in.

Stop the bus I want to get on – from personal to spiritual quest

Erica is a mitra who is training to be ordained as an order member. This talk is based on her experiences on a recent ‘pilgrimage’ to the UK, seeking in particular the Sangha jewel. She was also hoping to meet with Sangharakshita, the founder of the Triratna Order who lives at Adhisthana, Triratna’s new home, in Wales.

This 3 month trip proved to be a significant highlight on her Buddhist spiritual path so far. Erica will reflect on the impact of this journey on her path, on the difference it has made, and on her view of the New Zealand Sangha, from the vantage of distance in time and space.
