Continuing with the Bodhisattva Ideal theme ... we've now learned that the Bodhisattva is a beneficial force in the world, working for greater compassion, better understanding, and towards the eternally creative response.
This week we will be exploring the practises which came to be associated with the Bodhisattva. They are known as the Six Perfections:
Ratnavyuha will be introducing these foundation practises as another way of understanding how we can transform ourselves into a more beneficial force in the world. As part of the evening, he'll also be connecting the six perfections with the five aspects of Dharma practise that we have been exploring for most of the year.
Buddhism is filled with list. But only because people are all different and different approaches work better for different people. Hopefully, you'll find something useful within the practise of the six perfections.
Come join us for these Monday night sessions and discover if there is anything within the teachings of the six perfections that might be helpful in your life. You'll also get to meet like-minded people to have those deeper discussions about life which are so difficult to sometimes find.
The evening will start in the reception room and ends a little after 8pm. After that, you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea, ask further questions, and talk more about Buddhism.
Dharma Night is suitable for everyone, regardless of their level of experience or exposure to Buddhism. If you like what you find we recommend that you sign up for one of our introductory Buddhist meditation courses. These courses provide a systematic introduction to Buddhist meditation practise.
