June is Buddhist Action Month!
Buddhist Action Month (BAM!) started in the UK in 2012 and has been spreading around the world ever since.
BAM! is about changing the world for the better and we’re launching it to coincide with the anniversary of the Buddha’s enlightenment: the Buddha exemplified how transforming oneself naturally results in transforming the world.
Vajrajyoti will talk about the Buddha’s social action: he counselled kings, argued against caste prejudice and took on a mass murderer who others were too scared to approach. The BAM! team will invite you to be involved in BAM! activities in June, whether it’s helping with tree planting, having fun at a family day on 26 June or committing to a random act of kindness every day in June.

Dharma night is suitable for those who would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for regular friends to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes, you are still welcome to come and join in.
The usual program for the evening is a talk on some aspect of Buddhism, tea break, then group meditation to end the evening.
