Chetul Rinpoche's Words of Advice

two chapters from "Compassionate Action"

Chetul Rinpoche on tiger skin

These words of advice were given at a gathering of young Tibetan monks in 2000 during the Great Prayer Festival.

Chetul Sangye Dorje's Dharma teachings were similar to how he lived his life, straightforward and direct. They are expressed in simple Dharma for direct understanding.

You can also spell his first name Chatral, rather than Chetul. He lived from 1913 to 2015 and was one of Sangharakshita's eight precious teachers. They met in 1957, at which time Sangharakshita was given a number of sadhana practices and even a special name from Chetul.

We find these non-residential weekends to be a really helpful way for people to explore a Dharma theme more deeply together over a weekend, while still having time for other things.

We come together Friday night, Saturday morning and Sunday morning.

We aim to have one of these each month throughout the year, with themes announced two to three months prior to the event beginning.
