Triratna Buddhist Community

a day of celebration

the three jewels - a symbol of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha

Once a year we set aside a weekend to commemorate the founding of the Triratna Buddhist community in 1967 by Sangharakshita (originally known as the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order or FWBO).

We celebrate what is particularly unique about Sangharakshita's presentation of the Dharma, in addition to the common values we share with the wider international Buddhist community. This day is open to everyone.

Follow this link to listen to a talk by Sangharakshita on the 6 Distinctive Emphases of the Triratna Buddhist Community.

This talk is one of many available at Free Buddhist Audio.
