Trees of Awakening

Trees and forests are central in the stories of the life of the Buddha and his journey towards awakening.

tree

We know the Buddha has much to teach us - but so too do the trees.

Join Akasamati and Vikasini on this adventure into the forest where we will be meditating on and with the trees and seeing what it is we can learn from them. We will be drawing on the stories of trees in the early Buddhist texts and other sources as well as recent research into how trees live and communicate. We will be fueling our imaginations and opening our hearts to the wisdom of trees and the mystery of life.

There will be plenty of meditation, quiet time for reflection and communing with the bush, as well as ritual and creative play.

Suitable for those who are familiar with our Triratna meditation practices.
