Sangha night

True freedom: reflections on practice, money and life

Community pictures

In this current series we're looking at our relationship with money, and the emotional impact it has on our lives.

Wealth offers pleasures and benefits. And either a lack of it or hungering after more of it (regardless of our present financial situation) can be conditions for stress. Examining our own relationship to money can cut right to the heart of the spiritual life: what is true wealth? What is a life meaningfully lived? What does it mean to practice an ethical Dharma life in the midst of modern life, where we are going to have to handle money? And are the answers the same for each of us?

Wednesday nights are a place for people to come together and celebrate community, deepen their knowledge of Buddhism, and their understanding of how to practice it. They are designed for those who have been coming to the centre for a little while. If you have had minimal contact with us, you are best to attend our Intro courses on Tuesday evenings first.
