Right Action - The principles of Buddhist ethics
Continuing our current theme of the Noble Eightfold Path, we look at Right Action this week. The question of what constitutes right, skillful or even perfect action is an important one, bringing us straight to the heart of ethics.
This evening, we welcome Vimoksajyoti who will share her thoughts and experience of working with ones behaviour, how we go about interacting in the world, to reflect ones vision, to provide us a a stronger base of positive emotion, and to contribute to the transformative path of awakening.
Join us as we look to work through what seems like a complex topic, but actually turns out to be a straight-forward set of training principles that can help us negotiate life more easily and make our lives, and those around us, more harmonious, loving and easier to manage.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community as well as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Buddha's teaching, and their understanding of how to practice it. Now back in person at the Centre, they generally include a talk and discussion, followed by a cup of tea and then a meditation in the shrine room.
