Beauty and the Buddha

Ratnasambhava

The beauty affect with Mary Anna
Why engaging with beauty makes us feel more connected and our lives more meaningful

More people give more money to charity coming out of an art gallery than going in to it. What happens to people inside an art gallery that makes them more generous and compassionate afterwards?

In this talk, Mary Anna is going to suggest some reasons why this might be the case within a Dharmic context. She will explain how beauty provides us with a sense of meaning and connectivity. She will suggest some simple ways in which you can add beauty to your life so you can take advantage of the beauty effect.

Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community as well as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Buddha's teaching.

Each evening will include a meditation, a short teaching and a chance to reflect with others on the meaning of the teaching for our lives.
