We continue tonight our series on dana (generosity). Generosity is an important practice in Buddhism, being the second of five ethical precepts (or training principles) that as Buddhists we try to keep in mind, and also the first practice or perfection of a Bodhisattva.
We welcome Rohan this evening who will speak to us on the generosity of exemplifying fearlessness and instilling confidence in others. This is not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of dana, but it is an extremely generous gift to others in all facets of life, and especially the spiritual life.
Rohan will explore this in relation to her own life experience, before and opportunity for group discussions. So join us tonight to listen, discuss and reflect on the practice of sharing confidence, and the benefits of doing so, while connecting with others.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community, deepen their knowledge of Buddhism, and their understanding of how to practice it. They generally include a talk and discussion, a social cup of tea and meditation.
By donation (suggested $15). (Cash or EFTPOS)
Nothing to spare tonight? Come along anyway. You’re always welcome.
Before attending, please read our current Covid Guidelines. This is part of how we practice together.
