Celebrating community

How to celebrate this annual festival of spiritual community in this stage of lockdown in Auckland?

Well, we can meet with up to 25 of our sangha friends for a picnic or walk outdoors. Why not arrange a meet-up with your Dharma friends, mitra groups, chapters and so on to mark the day?

Then we can join together via Zoom for a short ritual, meditation, and an opportunity to reflect on what we appreciate about the sangha.

This annual festival traditionally commemorates the gathering of the Buddha with 1,250 disciples. For us, it also is an opportunity to appreciate the sangha jewel - sharing in this wonderful community of people practising the Dharma together at the ABC and beyond.
