Pure and Simple Week Long Meditation Retreat

for experienced meditators practicing within the Triratna tradition

1000 Armed Avalokitesvara

Bookings have now been closed for this retreat as we are getting very close to the start date. If you are still interested in attending please contact us to discuss in person. Thank you.

Do you value meditation but is it hard to find the time?

Or do you have the time but struggle to find the motivation by yourself? but when you come to the centre you find it easier to practice meditation?

Or it is that meditation is simply something you are interested in committing more time to? you see the value and, to be frank, just need to put yourself down on the cushion more often?

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, this might be a perfect retreat for you. It is a simple, straight forward, purely meditation retreat. With meditation sessions broken down into manageable 'bite-size' portions and divided with sessions of walking to ease the body, all of which makes it easier to practice more meditation. Silence during most of the retreat, and time off during the afternoons for personal reflection or wanderings. And with evenings dedicated to chanting, contemplation on the Four Mind Turning reflections, and remembering our Heart's Wish for freedom.

We are hoping to make this an annual event, perhaps even have two a year if they prove popular.

Everyone attending needs to know the basic Triratna meditation practices since no beginners instruction will be given. There will be voluntary meditation interviews available during the retreat for those who want them.

This will be a small retreat on purpose, numbers are limited to create greater stillness and to allow everyone to have personal space. No more than two people in a room unless friends want it differently. Camping also available, but let us know if you want to camp so we can free up another space in a room. Thanks.
