Men's Winter Retreat

Walking Towards The Archetypal

Buddha rupa

For our Going for Refuge to become authentic and real we need to engage our whole emotional being in the process.

Our emotional being is multilevel. There is the emotional level that deals with our day to day dealings in life. The level which is the unconscious that influences our perceptions, feelings, reactions, responses, dreams and fantasies. And the emotional level that reaches out towards transcendence and transformation, leading from the limitations of dualistic illusion to the Awakening of the Enlightened mind.

We will be exploring through the archetypes in the Buddha's legendary biography all three of these emotional levels. With the aim of awakening a greater emotional engagement within our Going for Refuge.
