Love & the beginner’s mind retreat

through meditation, Rumi and mandalas

Mandala credit Christine McAllister

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing
there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.”

Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi 13th Century

An invitation to a weekend where clock-time is slowed to heart-time
We will explore:
the deeper nuances of Divine Love with the poetry of Rumi
the Beginner’s mind through meditation with Akasadaka
the making of mandalas with Pennie Brownlee
the surrounding bush and nature

We will have time to return to the joy of our primordial natural state, the Beginner’s Mind. Beginner’s Mind is the source from which play, creativity, love and learning flow freely.

Come rest in it and explore.
