With the new centre, new year, and new neighbors we are exploring different ways of helping people to better understand Buddhism. For a while, we have been talking about the opportunity of more Saturday classes and it now seems like a good time to see how that works for people.
This series is open to everyone and will introduce you to the intentions and teachings behind the Morning Puja that we chant at most Saturday morning meditations.
Learning the meaning behind these words introduces us to the practice of reflection and the four reflections that Buddhism says are powerful motivations for starting to change our lives. In addition, we will be talking about the quality of emotion that Buddhism teaches is so essential as a foundation to everyone's spiritual practice.
First session: The Four Mind-Turning reflections which help us to see things more clearly and with greater emotional conviction. Thereby creating the opportunity for real personal change. These four reflections are the content of the Morning Puja which we chant before meditation on Saturday mornings.
These 11am Saturday teaching sessions will be offered as short series throughout the year rather than being offered every Saturday. Everyone is welcome, you can start coming at any point in the series, but you will get the most out of the experience by attending all the sessions. Although you don't need to attend the 10am meditation first, it is recommended that you do.
$20 per session which includes the 10am meditation

No bookings required - just show up. We strive to make Buddhism and meditation accessible to all. If the advertised cost is a barrier, we invite you to give what you can.
Please come early for a prompt start. If you cannot make the 10am meditation on a particular day, please feel free to join us at 11am. However, the meditation is considered part of the whole.
