Buddhist ethics is one of intention. Although there are training principles we can follow as guidelines, the Buddha always emphasized the importance of attending to the consequences of our actions and thoughts. What is the motivation behind the choices we make in life? Are we even aware of the quality of our heart and the direction of our thoughts which lead us to make the choices we make?
This course will introduce us to the different ways of discerning how the Buddha (and his followers over the years) have made choices in their lives. Choices that lead to a greater happiness for ourselves & a greater happiness for others. Unfortunately, the Buddhist teachings do not tell us what to do, they only tell us how to do it. But this is really all we need to learn to start walking the path of spiritual transformation in our lives.
Everything is provided at the course to support your learning. All you need to do is come along in casual, comfortable clothes.
