This year we will be holding 3 Sunday’s throughout the year, as Buddhist Recovery Network community retreat days. We will be exploring,” Feeding Your Demons” from the book by Tsultrim Allione. The harder we fight our demons whether its depression, anxiety, illness an eating disorder a difficult relationship, anger, self- hatred or addiction, the stronger they become. If we want to liberate ourselves from the fight once and for all, we must reverse our approach and nurture the demons. Applying the wisdom from Buddhism gives us a powerful method for coping with the inner enemies that undermine our best intentions
These retreat days, which are specifically for those in recovery from addictions, will be based on a simple but effective five-step practice for transforming negative emotions, fears and self-defeating patterns by recognizing our demons, giving them form, and then feeding them what they really need. This can transform our internal battleground.
We will be working in a safe creative environment using Loving Kindness as a base.
With Bhadrakari and team.
