Dharma night is suitable for those who are familiar with our meditation practices and would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for Sangha to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes you are still welcome to come and join in.
From 2008-2011 Vessantara spent over 3 years on retreat in a wooden circus wagon in France. In this talk he will share some of his experiences. What did he learn about himself and the Dharma? Vessantara joined the Order in 1974. As well as being active in the development of Triratna, he has devoted a substantial part of the last 40 years to meditation. He has also written 8 books on Buddhism. He lives in Cambridge UK, and is visiting Auckland for the first time in 14 years.
