Dharma Mondays

Come and join us on Monday nights for a Dharma talk followed by a meditation sit

Shakyamuni Buddha

Dharma night is suitable for those who are familiar with our meditation practices and would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for Sangha to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes you are still welcome to come and join in.

Windows into the Dharma: Personal Practice and Reflections from Order members
Why might anyone need Buddhism today?

An evening with Nagabodhi who is currently visiting New Zealand from the UK.

The very same experiences that opened Nagabodhi's eyes to the spiritual life also convinced him that religion and religious groups had nothing to do with it.

So how come he's just spent 41 years as a very active member of the Triratna Buddhist Order? Did he get distracted? Kidnapped?

What need did Buddhism meet in a cynical young Englishman back then? And at a time when secular mindfulness applications are making some of the goods available to the public without any religious baggage, why might anyone need Buddhism today?

This talk will be suitable for both beginners and those with more experience. Nagabodhi will also be sharing some of his more current experience and thoughts on aspects of the Dharma.
