This will be the second evening in a three week series on tuning in and tuning up your meditation practice. Each evening has a particular emphasis to help you to develop calmer, more concentrated and positive states of mind.
On this night Vajrajyoti will be guiding us through practices that have an emphasis on devotion and the imagination. She will introduce and lead us through a Puja which is a Buddhist devotional ritual. Puja is about the cultivation and expansion of positive emotions including shraddha (faith-confidence). It is a practice which can help us transcend our limited, habitual views and for a time experience ourselves as more expanded and limitless.
Dharma night is suitable for those who would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for regular friends to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes, you are still welcome to come and join in.
The usual program for the evening is a talk on some aspect of Buddhism, tea break, then group meditation to end the evening.
