On this evening we begin a three week series on tuning in and tuning up your meditation practice. Each evening we will have a particular emphasis to help you to develop calmer, more concentrated and positive states of mind.
On the first Dharma Monday of 2018 Ratnavyuha will be inviting you, with some guidance, to 'just sit' and even enjoy being led through a bit of 'doing nothing'. You'll discover that both of these practices can be very conducive to enlivening our meditation and you might even discover some valuable tools to take forward into the New Year ahead.
Mindfulness
Try to be mindful,
and let things take their natural course.
Then your mind will become still
in any surroundings
like a clear forest pool.
All kinds of wonderful, rare animals
will come to drink at the pool,
and you will clearly see
the nature of all things.
You will see many strange and
wonderful things come and go,
but you will be still.
This is the happiness of the Buddha.

Dharma night is suitable for those who would like to learn more about Buddhism. It is also a popular night for regular friends to drop in and practice together. If you are a beginner but can't get to/or have just started one of our meditation classes, you are still welcome to come and join in.
The usual program for the evening is a talk on some aspect of Buddhism, tea break, then group meditation to end the evening.
