to join our Dharma Cafe on Saturdays at 11.15am.

A precious opportunity to connect with others and explore the Dharma together.

This week we'll be continuing our exploration of particular verses from one of the best known and loved of all Buddhist scriptures the Dhammapada.

This week's verses are 160 - 162 and come from the chapter on the self:

One is indeed one's own saviour. What other saviour should there be? With oneself well-controlled, one finds a saviour (who is) hard to find.

The evil done by oneself, born of oneself, produced by oneself, destroys the man of evil understanding as a diamond pulverizes a piece of rock crystal.

He whose unprincipled behaviour is without limit, like a maluva(-creeper) overspreading a sal tree, does to his own self that which his enemy wishes (to do to him).

Bring your coffee and join us as we explore the relevance of these ancient verses of wisdom in our everyday lives.

Both newcomers and regulars are very welcome.

Please arrive promptly as we close entry after 5 minutes or so.
