Buddhist Recovery Network

Sunday support meeting for people recovering from addictive behaviours

buddha aloka bristol

Buddhist Recovery Network meetings are held at the Auckland Buddhist Centre:

every Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm

This meeting includes explorations of how mindfulness and other Buddhist tools can help with maintaining mental health in general and abstinence from drugs and alcohol in particular. We also meditate every time we meet, usually for 20-30 minutes. We give plenty of guidance on how to meditate and can also help with posture.

On this Sunday we will be rejoicing in the merits of Navachitta who sadly passed away on 30 November 2014. Navachitta came in contact with Triratna in 1981 and was ordained in 1990. She founded the Buddhist Recovery Network Auckland in June 2011. She taught at the Auckland Buddhist Centre and ran retreats and workshops for both those in recovery from substance abuse and for the general public.

Please visit our Buddhist Recovery Network page for more detailed information and some useful resources.
