The Mangala Sutta, found within the Suttanipata, is a popular and seminal text from the early Buddhist canon. It's form is a dialogue in verse between the Buddha and a visiting deity who asks the Buddha to tell of the best conditions (Mangalas) for the leading of a human and spiritual life. In his reply the Buddha outlines in eleven inspiring verses 32 progressive mangalas that lead from the basic to the sublime - one Path within one poem.
