Buddhism - Introductory series

The creative symbols of Tibetan Buddhism

Akshobhya

This six week Monday evening course will explore the foundations and development of Buddhist meditation and practice for personal transformation through three of the symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. These are the Tibetan wheel of life, the spiral path and the mandala of the five Buddhas.

The creative symbols of Tibetan Buddhism reflect the seeds of awakening in our direct experience. Nurturing these seeds through contemplation, imagination and ritual allows transformation of limitations and restrictions.

This course offers both very practical applications and expansive perspectives. It is suitable for both those curious about what Buddhism can offer and those who are considering committing to deeper practice by becoming a mitra at the Auckland Buddhist Centre.
