With decades of Buddhist meditation to draw on, Bhadrakari gently leads a unique form of Qi Gong which uses gentle movement, deep stretching and breathing techniques to develop internal stillness and promote contentment and self-compassion.
Body and Brain Qi Gong helps us really feel the beauty of deep body awareness so we can more readily ground ourselves, improving our concentration and access to a flow state. This type of practice is an excellent adjunct to sitting meditation or could even occasionally replace sitting meditation if our bodies and minds are too agitated to settle.
Bhadrakari is a compelling teacher drawing on humour, kindness and a highly developed awareness of others to introduce this rich and profound practice. She had generously offered two workshops, which may also include music, dancing and laughter, to help raise funds for our beautiful new practice space.
Wear warm, comfortable clothing and look forward to developing a whole new understanding of how body, mind and heart can interact to both soothe and energise.
Bhadrakari has generously donated her time, energy and experience as a fundraiser for the new Auckland Buddhist Centre renovations, now complete for you to enjoy, but with some bills still to come.
Event fees are between $25 and $45 per person, depending on your financial situation. You can book and pay on-line now, or turn up on the day and pay by cash or EFTPOS.
Before attending, please read our current Covid Guidelines. This is part of how we practice together.
