What's love got to do with it?

Under 35s retreat

Robe in the wind

Buddhism emphasises the importance of practicing love and compassion towards all beings. But what does love have to do with enlightenment? And how can one ever love everyone in such a complex world?

Join the Wellington Buddhist Centre Under 35s crew on this retreat, exploring a key Buddhist teaching: the Brahma Viharas. The Brahma Viharas offers four responses - love, compassion, joy and peace - as a means to help us move towards a more loving existence that might just bring us closer to enlightenment.

This retreat is for people aged 18 to 35 and will be held over the Labour Day long weekend.

The retreat will be at Strathean, Otaki , just north of Wellington, and will be led by Dhammakumara (Sydney) and Varadhi (Melbourne / Turkey).

We ask that all retreatants take a COVID RAT test on the day they start the retreat before arriving and only attend if the result is negative.
