Tonight Mary Anna will explore the second stage of the metta practice; metta for a good friend. This stage is a transition stage, where we take our focus off ourselves and our own well being and begin to cultivate awareness of others, and awareness of their happiness and well being. Mary Anna will talk about the importance and necessity of celebrating the qualities of our good friends, as well as how this positive experience of others paves the way to feelings of open hearted connectedness with all.
