It's not uncommon to feel sleepy in meditation. Sometimes the cause is simple, being tired, overworked, with long commutes and children to care for, the demands of life leave little energy left for meditation.
Sometimes low energy comes from other sources. Perhaps you just can't be bothered meditating, you'd rather avoid making any effort all together and would rather watch the latest exciting series on Netflix.
This the hindrance known as "Sloth and Torpor" and at its heart it's about the willingness to commit our energy to our meditative experience.
Tonight Beck will speak to this theme, as well as provide an opportunity for refection and discussion.
This is part of our current series on 5 classic hindrances to practice.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community as well as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Buddha's teaching, and their understanding of how to practice it.
