TONIGHT: The Three Jewels
Tonight Cittamuni will explore the Sangha jewel - the jewel of the community of people who practice Buddhism. We live in an increasingly individualistic world. All our success, all our achievements and all our happiness are down to us as individuals, or so the modern view holds. The Buddha teaches otherwise - that our best chance of happiness and spiritual progress lies in developing a community of people to support us and to challenge us. Relationships to others and friendship is at the heart of the spiritual life. Cittamuni will talk about his experience of Sangha and how it has shaped and guided his spiritual path.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community as well as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Buddha's teaching, and their understanding of how to practice it.
