The three poisons
Last week Buddhanusarin gave us an overview of the Tibetan wheel of life, our theme for the next month or two. This week Vajrasarasi focuses on the central hub, in which you will see a snake, a rooster and a pig chasing each other’s tails. What do these creatures represent, and does the fact that they are placed at the hub have any significance?
Join us as Vajrasarasi explores this central part of the image, the "three poisons" of greed, hatred and delusion it points to, and their possible antidotes.
Wednesday nights are a place for people who have attended our foundation courses to come together and celebrate community, deepen their knowledge of Buddhism, and their understanding of how to practice it. They generally include a talk and discussion, a social cup of tea and meditation.
