Triratna Arts and Culture catalogue

It's time for a 2017 edition

arts and culture catalogue

The 2013 catalogue was a huge success, giving thousands of people in centres across the globe access to the breadth and depth of modern Buddhist culture. It was a gift from the artists in Triratna, and those books are still accessible today in Buddhist Centre libraries and will act as a historical document for years to come.

This coming year's catalogue will be similar in format to the 2013 edition. A photo quality 12"x12" hardback publication with one copy sent out to each Triratna Centre. It aims to showcase Art and Culture in Triratna in five sections: 2D Art, 3D Art, Poetry and Prose, Music and Mantra, Engaged Arts and Culture.

For sale 2013 Paperback 8.5” edition
For sale 2013 Hardback 12” edition

For 2017, there will also be an online presence so those who do not get into the catalogue (as places are limited) will be included in an online directory that will be advertised in the book.

You don't have to be a professional, there is no limit to what can be in it, and what you showcase does not have to be explicitly Buddhist. Anyone can apply with any creative endeavour.

Applications: if you wish to be involved in the 2017 edition, I ask you for:
A. your name as you wish it to appear in the catalogue
B. 120 character subtitle
C. 150-200 words explaining what you do, why or what it means to you as a person/buddhist
D. 1-3 high resolution images conveying your work (4000x4000pix)
E. website
F. preferred method of contact if you want to be contacted by the public (strongly recommend an email address)
G. £35 (only payable if you are admitted!) but if you can't afford this, some free spaces are available as others have donated extra

Please send this information to Mat New by email triratnaartsandculture@hotmail.com

I am also looking for patrons. £35 per page makes up less than half the printing costs for 60 books, there is still a shortfall of £3000 which will must be made from donations and sales of a smaller book. This is a non-profit making venture. All funds go into making the book more widely available.

The closing date for all applications is June 1st
You will be told whether your work will be featured by July 1st
You will need to make a payment by cheque, Paypal or BACs by August 1st
Printing starts September 1st
Books will be available to you December 1st
Books will be available to the public January 1st 2017
