Buddhanusarin has unpacked the library for us - you'll find it in the back room downstairs on the right.
He asks that you return any books you've had checked out since the centre move ASAP, as he's in the process of creating a digital catalogue and online booking system for us. We need to do fancy things like add QR codes, and ensure some copies go into the new reference section before they get checked out again.
You can return your books to the basket in the library. Please don't put them back on the shelves yourself.
For now, to check out new books, use the old-school card system we've had for decades. Fill out the card tucked into the book, and place it in the front of the wooden box in the library.
Membership is open to Order members and mitras, and there is a one-time joining fee of $45, which goes towards the purchase of new books. Talk to Sthiraratna or Suvarnadhi if you'd like to join.
Why mitras and OMs only? Well, people come and go a lot at the centre, which means books have tended to be checked out never to return again. At the point people have made a commitment to the Triratna Buddhist Community they're usually considerate of the impact of not returning items, and we can usually get in touch effectively to prompt them about overdue books :)
