At around 5.30am on Sunday 4 November a car crashed through the fence and into the right hand side of the reception room wall at the Auckland Buddhist Centre.
Building repairs will begin over the next 2-3 weeks and for now the damage is boarded up and a temporary fence has been erected.
We've been given the all clear from our insurance assessor and the building company managing the repairs to carry on with all our usual evening and weekend classes/meetings for now.
There will be disruption to our week day events once the repairs begin and some degree of creativity, flexibility and patience will be required at that time.
We'll keep you posted through facebook, our weekly bulletin and on our website News page of any changes to our usual schedule as they arise.
The driver has now been discharged from hospital and we ask that you send him lots of metta to help with his recovery.
Thanks for you support and understanding at this time.
