A message from Vasudhara
After a few false starts, date changes, start time shifts, and a mix of illness and injury, we finally set off on our three mountain fundraising walk! My Fitbit clocked us at 17.3 km—just a little longer than the planned 16 km—thanks to a few detours (I’m blaming Google Maps for those!). But despite it all, we made it back to Normanby Rd at 1:15 pm, completing an epic 5hr 15min stroll.
A big shout-out to Rohan, who pedalled alongside us and generously shared her bike when we started running low on energy. And of course, the wonderful bonus of the day was that Suvarnadhi was waiting at the tihi (top) of each maunga as our cheerleader!
Out of the 11 who started, five of us made it to the finish line. What an amazing day! And the best part, apart of course from spending time with friends was, we raised over $3,000—beating our target!
A massive thank you to all those who supported us from the virtual sidelines. Your encouragement and generosity spurred us on, and this success is a true reflection of how much this incredible project means to all of us.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey!
Sadhu to you all,
Vasudhara
